Pictured below is a reminder of one of the first “microbreweries” to catch the attention of beer geeks nationwide. Remember, those were the days when the only people who knew about the “microbrew” breweries were home-brewers.
Some of them grew up to become commercial brewers. Some of these folks are still brewing… unfortunately Bill Newman is no longer part of the picture.
Those of us who remember this brew remember it as a rich, malty brew with a snap of hop tang in the finish. (We were so impressive eh? We knew what “finish” was!)
